Home Sweet Home

Another one bites the dust per say, and this time it's the Coral Princess. I had a wonderful fun contract for many reasons. First time being married whilst working at sea, a second opportunity to work with my wonderful friend John-Philip and spend time with his gorgeous wife Tara, and of course any opportunity to sing, dance and travel is one I'm ready for.

Our next adventure takes Adam & I back to Alaska and the Panama Canal on the Island Princess. Adam will set sail in April and I will join him in the beginning of June until just before Christmas. We are letting paper, rock, scissors decide where Christmas will be spent this year. It seems to safest way to make that decision.

So another contract will see Adam & I spend my birthday and our first anniversary apart, but we make this sacrifice now for a solid future. We have been very blessed with our first Princess contract going so well, and hope to finish our time at Princess the same way, happy and healthy.

It's A Wonderful Day to be an Aunt!

Greetings one and all from Acapulco. Today is a short but joyful message to announce that I will once again be embarking on Aunt-dom. My brother Dennis, sister-in-law Christi-Anne & beautiful niece Emilie will be adding to their family this coming July. I guess I am doing such a great job of being Aunt and Aunt-in-law that they have decided to give me another shot.

I once again have to face the fact that while I am lucky to have a job, never mind doing what I love to do, it takes me away from many family events. This next contract alone will take me away from my parents 40th anniversary, my Mom's *$th birthday (you're welcome Mom) as well as my brother, sister-in-law and Dad's birthdays. (And that's just the Canadian side!) Now that another little peanut is on his or her way as well, it only solidifies my choice of doing this my next, and final contract on ships. I never say never, but it's time to settle and start this thing called life.

I guess in the end you weigh your options, hope you make the right choices and leave no regrets. I can safely say that I have none. I have seen the world, enjoyed momentous occasions with my family when I am home, have been able to perform for thousands of people, and will continue to do all of these things for as long as I can.

And as soon as Emilie is ready to hit the road with me as a back-up singer...I'll be all set.
