Resolving to forget...

2010. Another decade, another set of hopes and dreams to aim for and then loathe a few weeks later. I have never been a fan of the New Years resolution, so since about 1994 I have kept a "What was good in...(insert the year)" list as an alternative. I have a book that I write poems, quotes and keep special notes tucked away and among these things are my lists. It is so neat each year to look back on what was important in my life at that time, and what I valued about the previous 365 days. Instead of looking to change something I didn't like, I reflect on what was great about the past year. I encourage anyone, (all 3 people) who read this to do something similar if you are anti resolutions like I am.

My list is usually point form and consists of names of people or events from the year, but this year my list was simple, and was the first time I had help with my list, thanks to my husband. I don't usually share my lists, but I figured "why not?" if it helps inspire people. So, without further ado...my "What was good in 2009".

I love being married.

Happy New Year everyone. May your lists be full of wonderful memories from now on.
